Chamber Corner: Get Your Taste of Walnut tickets!

I believe warmer weather is on the way. The forecast looks great for this week, but as we all know things can change quickly. Let’s hope the farmers can get into the fields and we can enjoy a little bit of Spring weather.

I can’t stress enough to buy your Taste of Walnut tickets by this Wednesday. First you can save $5 per ticket and second we really need to let the restaurants know how much food to prepare! Please help us out by buying your ticket at Avanti Foods in the net couple of days if you are planning on going.

Congratulations to the Walnut Rotary Club for celebrating 70 years recently. They do a lot for our community. A lot even goes unnoticed. They continue to follow their motto “service above self”.

Rotary also has a cook-out at the Veteran’s Memorial Park on Saturday, April 28th. Go out and grab lunch and support the Rotary.

If you’ve wanted to work in Walnut there are plenty of job openings currently. Just recently I have seen the following places hiring: Avanti Foods, Konz Restaurant & Lounge, Green River Country Club, Mama T’s, Perry Memorial Clinic in Walnut and Walnut Custom Components. There may be others I’m forgetting. A variety of options if you want to work right here in town.
