Chamber Corner: Community that looks out for one another!
Living in a small town like ours is truly a gift. During the holidays I like to practice gratitude and think of the reasons I am thankful. I easily came up with many reasons I am glad to live in Walnut.
In our town, almost everyone knows each other, and a friendly wave or a helping hand is never far away. Whether it’s sharing a kind word or pitching in during tough times, the sense of camaraderie here is unmatched.
The Walnut Christmas Open House was a great example of our community coming together. Volunteers gave up their Saturday to spread joy to kids and families. When the Chamber was seeking activities for the day, so many individuals and businesses were happy to volunteer and plan a fun activity for folks to enjoy.
Our local businesses are truly the best! They don’t just serve customers, they also create experiences. During events like the Walnut Christmas Open House, they host special activities, offer treats, and make every visitor feel welcome.
There is a comfort in knowing you’re part of a community that looks out for one another. The people and businesses make our town a special place. This Christmas season, I hope you are able to find joy in our town, and spread joy by being a friendly face or helping hand.
Let’s continue to support one another and make this Christmas season one to remember.
As always, have a great week and shop Walnut whenever you can!
