Chamber Corner: Shop Walnut Cards and Christmas Open House
The Shop Walnut Cards are back! It is one of the Chamber’s ways of saying thank you for shopping in Walnut. The Shop Walnut Cards are available in local retail businesses, and you may begin to receive stamps on your card for any retail purchase at participating Walnut Chamber of Commerce business during the holiday season. When your card is filled, you may drop it off in the Village of Walnut payment drop box for a chance to win! The double punch days are Saturday, November 30th and Saturday, December 7th. The drawing for the prizes will be on Saturday, December 7th and Saturday, December 21st. The Chamber hopes you have a wonderful Thanksgiving and Christmas, and that you will choose to shop Walnut for your holiday needs!
Christmas in Walnut begins on Saturday, November 30th at the Walnut Christmas Open House! There are fun stops along Main Street with Christmas crafts, activities, and many sweet treats and drinks for all ages to enjoy. One exciting new stop this year is the new Walnut Historical Society building. Stop in to make a Christmas craft, see historical artifacts, and meet the iconic buffalo. The schedule is available online, on the Walnut Chamber website and Facebook page, as well as in the paper for you to view all the great activities.
The Chamber is excited for two new businesses coming to Main Street in 2025! Second Chance Treasures, a resale shop, and Thrift Parlor, a consignment store. Before these stores open, you may support them! There will be a coat drive at the Walnut Public Library during the Walnut Christmas Open House between 9:00 am - 12:00 pm to collect coats, hats, and gloves for Second Chance Treasures. Thrift Parlor is beginning to set up appointments for folks to bring in items. Please email thriftparlor@gmail.com to contact them and make arrangements. Thank you in advance for your support of these two upcoming businesses!
As always, have a great week and shop Walnut whenever you can!
