Chamber Corner: Thrift Parlor and Library Annex
Walnut is about to get a little more stylish, sustainable, and fun with the arrival of a new business on Main Street. Thrift Parlor will be a consignment and resale store that’s all about giving your gently-used items a second life! Whether you're looking to declutter your home or score some great finds, this is a great addition to our town.
Before Thrift Parlor opens, they need help building their inventory! They are on the lookout for unique, gently-used items. Head to their Facebook Page, Thrift Parlor, to view a list of items they are seeking for the store. It is the perfect time to declutter before the holidays.
Stay tuned for more details, including the official opening date. We are so excited to welcome this new business to Walnut, and your support can make all the difference!
The Walnut Public Library has a big upcoming vote on the November election ballot! It is a referendum to annex the remainder of the Bureau Valley School District, which is not currently in a library district. If the annexation does not pass, the funds as well as the time in staff hours and hours of operation will be forced to decrease. The Walnut Public Library is a great resource in the community and offers many great programs and services! Please take the time to research and read about the referendum prior to voting. The vote will greatly impact our community!
As always, have a great week and shop Walnut whenever you can!
